Sarah Cheffy
Sarah started in the fitness industry in 2003 teaching Hi/Lo aerobic classes at Elon University Campus Recreation. It was not until she was a graduate student at James Madison University in 2007 when she first discovered yoga. She immediately fell in love with the practice and went on to receive her 200-hour teacher training through YogaFit. After teaching and sharing the practice for several years she wanted to learn more. In 2017 she enrolled in Triad Yoga Institute’s 300-hour teacher certification program. She plans to graduate in spring of 2020. Sarah is also a certified personal trainer.
Sarah’s goal regarding fitness, health and wellness, is to help others find their best self. As an instructor, she is able to fine-tune her classes to make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. She is a firm believer that the road to wellness is about the journey, not the destination. Sarah aims to create a space where students feel challenged yet supported and infuses her classes with gratitude and humor. She honors that each students comes from many different walks of life but when we step onto our mats to breath and practice together, collectively, we can find balance and harmony.
Mittie Dodge
Mittie began to cultivate her yoga practice at a young age alongside her mom. As she reached her teens, yoga served to help ease stress and promote physical wellbeing as well as increase strength and flexibility. Throughout early adulthood, Mitte relied on her practice to bring peace, growth, and inner spiritual development. However, after losing her father to cancer in 2014, she decided to further commit herself and pursue her 200-hour yoga certification in Costa Rica, deepening her love for the practice. Yoga allowed her to create a safe and loving space where she could heal.
Mittie loves to teach all levels and styles and focuses on creating classes that allow for the development of both mind and body. She strives to light, peace, and love to all that practice with her.
